JPP were appointed mid-way through the construction of this prestigious redevelopment of the historically significant magistrates court in Banbury. A former courthouse and subsequently police station, this building is currently being redeveloped for high-end apartments. Key challenges for the scheme include maintaining five large chimney stacks at second floor and roof level for planning requirements, whilst developing new apartments directly beneath. For this, complex permanent and associated temporary works are required to facilitate the Architectural layouts. JPP has provided a personal service as site support role where key activities through the temporary works stages have required Chartered structural engineering experience to ensure safe, yet efficient sequenced works.
