Throughout my A-Levels, the modules I enjoyed the most were rooted within mechanics, applied within both maths and physics. From this I was determined to take my enjoyment of mechanics further, and look to use it within my career. Eventually I found Structural Engineering. I applied to work with JPP during my gap year and have never looked back.
An apprenticeship was always my goal post-18. The balance of both practical and theoretical learning really spoke to me and appeared to be thoroughly engaging. Working within JPP has been a fantastic experience, as I apply what I learn within university on an almost daily basis, whilst studying without the pressure of a student loan looming over me.
Looking towards the future, in the short term, I want to gain EngTech accreditation and continue to move forward, working on more complex schemes, designing and specifying foundations and structural elements and eventually move upwards, to an Engineer and beyond within JPP.
JPP is a dynamic, modern, multi-discipline construction consultancy.
