JPP Consulting
Gerald Mensah

I am building my technical skills and becoming more proficient.

I joined JPP in April of 2021 following the completion of my integrated master’s degree at Coventry University. Prior to starting my role at JPP, I had no work experience within the engineering sector however, JPP were very welcoming and have helped me gain valuable experience and knowledge whilst aiding me to further develop my skill set as an engineer.

I initially started as a Technician and have built on both my experience and knowledge and am now a Graduate Engineer. I assist both my colleagues and senior management on a daily basis with developing valued and efficient engineering solutions to our clients.

I am currently working on building my knowledge and experience through working on small to medium sized schemes which would help contribute towards attaining attributes in achieving Chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers.

My line manager has supported and aided my professional and personal development by assigning me opportunities to challenge myself and enhance my skills and abilities. My colleagues and other senior management have also helped in my development through teamwork, support and problem solving.

I am building my technical skills and becoming more proficient in delivering engineering solutions to the best of my ability. I hope to become a well-rounded civil engineer with expertise and knowledge on a variety of schemes.

BSc (Hons)

It is satisfying to see schemes that you have designed from scratch to completion.

I joined JPP in 2014 as a Graduate Engineer after getting my degree at Nottingham Trent University and am now Associate Director leading a large team working on Residential, Commercial and Industrial projects.

It is very satisfying to be able to see schemes that you have designed from scratch through construction to completion. I have been able to do this on schemes from Manchester to Bristol as we have clients all across the country.

With the support of Toby Heath, Phil Brown and my team, I am currently working towards being incorporated with the ICE (IEng) and hope to continue my progression through JPP to eventually become a shareholding Director.

Patricia Watson
BSc (Hons)

It’s a collective effort to make sure everyone is developing.

I completed a Civil Engineering BSc at Nottingham Trent and joined JPP in 2021 where I am now a Graduate Engineer. My current goals are to become a member of the ICE and to gain promotion within JPP and become an Engineer.

I enjoy working at JPP because there is always someone in the company with an answer to any questions you have. It’s a collective effort to make sure everyone is developing and gets more experience under their belt.

I am a STEM Ambassador and a member of our Social Committee so there are lots of ways to get involved professionally and socially.
