At JPP we recognize that the key to any successful project either big or small, is often hidden from view. Often a project’s viability depends on the costs associated with historical and hidden features buried within the ground or within the groundwater, in the form of chemical and gaseous contamination. 

Our geoenvironmental team realise that the key to determining risks associated with any proposed site is linked to understanding the history of a site, the surrounding land uses and the potential complex interaction with the underlying geology/hydrogeology. Providing our clients with an initial assessment of a sites potential risk enables JPP to mitigate the risks posed to our clients at an early stage.  It also ensures that any proposed geoenvironmental site investigation accurately targets the potential sources of contamination to ensure the risks can be measured, defined and mitigated in the design solutions. 

JPP’s combined experience and knowledge allows us to provide an expert and flexible approach to investigating sites, liaising with regulators, clients and contractors to determine the most sustainable and economical remedial solutions where required. Providing our clients with site specific and cost-effective remedial design solutions is supported by ongoing site inspections and remedial investigation to ensure the identified risks and appropriately managed and remediated, removing the risk posed to the end user and wider environment.

In addition to undertaking the geoenvironmental investigation and remedial measures, JPP can assist our clients in managing waste soils arisings produced by the groundworks by producing material management plans, by identifying ways to maintain soils on site and where required, by undertaking Waste Soil Testing and Classification, ensuring compliance to current regulations.
