JPP’s Planning Team offers a wealth of knowledge and experience across a broad range of planning sectors.  Our client portfolio is diverse, and we’ve successfully guided a range of private sector clients, including commercial interests within the residential, retail, leisure and commercial sector through the planning system.

Overarchingly, our approach offers a comprehensive blend of technical rigour and best-practice enables us to quickly identify the key issues, opportunities and constraints and provide cost-effective solutions.

Our range of planning services extends to include expert advice in the following areas:

Transport Planning / Engineering

Transport assessments and travel plans are required to assess the impact of developments on the highway network and to encourage the use of more sustainable forms of transport. Here at JPP we can provide assessments of junction capacity utilising PICADY, ARCADY and TRANSYT. As part of the pre-planning assessment we can provide general arrangement junction designs in line with national or local guidance.

Drainage Strategies and Flood Risk Assessments

With the recent change in legislation all sites large and small require the use of Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDs). JPP’s drainage strategies utilise SUDs throughout which comply with the latest legislation and meet client’s expectations.

Flood Risk Assessments are usually required for low risk sites larger than 1ha or smaller sites located within medium to high flood risk areas. JPP have worked on a variety of schemes in all flood risk zones and can provide 1D river modelling and flood compensation calculations.

Site Appraisals

For developers looking to purchase a site we can assist in the appraisal process. We can assist in guiding the valuation of abnormal costs and therefore the viability of a site but also ensure that the basics can be achieved such as can the site be drained and can the site be accessed.
